The earlier shows seems less political/ controversial than the more recent shows, this may have been to grow an audience with the new show before introducing controversial topics that may have drawn audience members away.

Some topics from Women's Hour:
  • I have one breast, why can't I find a bra that fits?
  • Nine tips for a stress-free family life
  • Eight pieces of life advice from wise women
  • How my ex-husband's transition made me feel
Arguably, the Women's Hour topics are more statements than discussions, they seem to feature tips and tell the audience things rather than debating a current popular or controversial topic.
